Snickerdoodles are my inspiration for today.  Actually , the recipe is the only thing you get today.  I’m running low on fuel.  Here you go!

1/2 c. butter or stick margarine , softened.

1/2 c. shortening

2 large eggs

2 3/4 c flour

2 tsp cream of tartar

1 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 c sugar

2 tsp ground cinnamon

1. Heat oven to 400.

2. Beat 1 1/2 cups of sugar, butter, shortening, and eggs in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed. stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.

3. Shape dough into 1 1/4 inch balls. Mix 1/4 cup of sugar and 2 tsp of ground cinnamon. Roll balls in cinnamon/sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

4. Bake 8-10 minutes or until set. immediately remove from cookie sheet to wire rack,.

Yummy goodness.  The whole house is happy now!
